About the role

ROLE
As the Community Fundraising Specialist for this leading, globally recognised humanitarian aid agency, you get to support the Head of Fundraising in developing and executing community fundraising campaigns with a focus on growing income, engagement and awareness of their flagship peer-to-peer events whilst optimising engagement through multi-channels including digital, eDMs, SMS, Direct Mail and search. You will use your exceptional communication and presentation ability to engage audiences at a variety of public facing events (including City2Surf, Run Melbourne and Blackmores) whilst building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will be responsible for driving fundraising income, utilising your project management and entrepreneurial thinking to develop and implement community fundraising activities managing relationships with donors and third-party agencies in line with budgets and plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute community fundraising and communications strategy to drive revenue and engagement.
  • Manage relationships with key supporters and third-party agencies effectively
  • Recruit, manage and motivate community fundraisers.
  • Work with agencies to conduct digital fundraising campaign analysis and reporting informing future campaign development.
  • Work with digital communications team to develop campaign sites and optimise support
  • Stay current with relevant trends and technologies and best practice fundraising relevant to the role.
  • Work collaboratively with broader team, seeking opportunities to improve programs.

YOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Demonstrated success (2 + years) in developing and executing community-based events fundraising programs.
  • Outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in database management with knowledge of fundraising platform Raisely preferred.
  • High energy and self-motivated with ability to work out of hours.
  • Strong digital skills and expertise across both fundraising platforms and social media.
  • Excellent project and people management skills with ability to drive outcomes and influence in a respectful and engaging way.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
