Revise your government relations and advocacy strategy to leverage emerging opportunities under the new Australian Parliament and ministry.
The new Australian Parliament holds big promises for social justice and has the potential to be an important ally in elevating the impact of the for purpose sector. Find out what the key opportunities available to for-purpose organisations will be and how to use them to secure governmental support.
Join Fifty Acres founder and chief executive officer Jo Scard, Charmaine Crowe, program director of social security at ACOSS and Jason Glanville, co-founder and director of Native Foodways, to discuss the Albanese government’s top priorities for the coming year and the vital role the engagement and advocacy of the not for profit sector plays in holding the Government to account.
This session will consist of a 45 minute panel discussion and a 15 minute Q&A with the panellists. PLUS a 15 minute session with Jo Scard, government engagement professional, Young Labor member and previous colleague of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to share expert tips you and your team can use to cut through and successfully engage with the new government.
You’ll come away with:
- insights into the government’s top priorities for the first 100 days;
- who the key players are and what makes them tick;
- the pivotal dates to influence policy outcomes and the October budget; and
- vital steps for your organisation to take to garner influence and impact.
