We are a purpose-driven advisory, empowering organisations to grow their social impact. We do this by helping organisations to develop their social, ethical and environmental initiatives, policies and programs. This is a vital way that organisations can improve the quality of their engagement with employees, clients, customers and the local community. Integrating a purpose-driven approach to business is a great way to deliver outstanding social and economic value to customers, shareholders and the community. It is also proven approach to strengthen organisational culture, mission clarity and return increased profits.
Leadership Team
Founding Director – Mike Davis. Mike is Founding Director of Purposeful and is an experienced strategic advisor with broad experience in public, health and social policy. Mike has worked in the Victorian Government and for member-based organisations, research organisations, academic institutions, social enterprise and not-for-profits.

Employee Giving
We are strong supporters of the Effective Altruism movement We donate 10% of our annual revenue to scientifically evaluated causes, proven to have the greatest social impact per $1 spent. We also rely on the research done by Give Well to help us decide which causes to fund each year to ensure our dolllar achieves maximum social impact Our current cause is Give Directly, which transfers cash to households in developing countries via mobile phone-linked payment services. It targets extremely low-income households and has transformed thousands of lives in Kenya
Staff Volunteering
Our employees give over 10% of their year every year to support not for profits. If we can help you out in any way, please drop us a line! We also offer a standing 10% discount for any not for profit engagements.
Partnerships
We work closely with HumanKind Enterprises and Lively on relevant projects to enhance wellbeing, resilience and human kindness in vulnerable communities.

- Wherever possible we source our products, supplies and services from the local community
- This is because we believe in strong sustainable business communities that support each other
- We also aim to engage underrepresented, underprivileged and underserved communities
- We look to work with women first in sourcing supplies and services for our business
We also have an ethical supply screen in place that is applied to any of our suppliers.
Environment
We have an Environmental Impact Statement that states the following- We will: • Adopt the highest environmental standards in all areas of operation to ensure we meet or exceed all relevant legislative requirements.
- Minimise waste through efficient use of all materials and inputs.
- Only use sustainable or recycled products where possible.
- Provide environmental training and education to all employees.
- Encourage employee involvement.
- Reduce risks from environmental, health or safety hazards for employees and others in the vicinity of our operations.
- Encourage employees to use environmentally conscious methods of transport when commuting to work i.e. walking, cycling and public transport.
- Include environmental considerations in all investment decisions.
- Continually assess the environmental impact of all our operations.
Resource Management
Purposeful operates from a virtual office, meaning that make use of existing resources in a shared/co-worked capacity. This is a conscious choice not to add additional waste to the system!
