community, resulting in more than $A400 million donated to non-profit organisations globally since
1985 (as at 31 March 2020).
Staff Volunteering
Macquarie Group helps strengthen the communities Macquarie staff live and work in by facilitating
thousands of hours of staff volunteering and pro bono programs each year with community
organisations around the world.
Each year, outstanding staff contributions to the community are also recognised through the Staff in
the Community Awards.
Grants
The Macquarie Group Foundation strive for the most significant social impact possible by using the
organisation’s financial resources as well as the skills and networks of Macquarie employees.
Across the world, there are young people who need greater support to overcome the social barriers
they face. The global grant making focus aims to break down these barriers and provide social and
economic opportunities to those who will benefit most.
The majority of the Foundation’s grant funding is directed to organisations supporting social and
economic opportunities for young people in the communities where we live and operate, with each
region concentrating its efforts on issues with local relevance.
