Global Leadership Foundation was formed in 2003 with the intent of raising emotional health levels across the globe. To achieve this, we develop, strengthen and transform the leadership potential in people, organisations and communities. We work with a diverse range of organisations in Australia and around the globe to collaboratively design leadership programs and strategies that support their the business challenges
Global Leadership Foundation also leads by example in its stewardship role, providing pro-bono support to a number of community programs and non-profit organisations. We believe strongly in sharing our resources and knowledge – as volunteers, facilitators, mentors and more – with a diverse range of important projects and causes that have limited access to funding. Our Foundation is held with the Australian Communities Foundation which allows us to combine pro-bono support with grant making.
Leadership Team
As the co-founders of Global Leadership Foundation, Gayle Hardie and Malcolm Lazenby are passionate about and committed to making a positive difference to people, organisations and communities – both locally and globally.
Along with their enthusiasm, they each bring over 30 years of experience and internationally recognised expertise in developing, strengthening and transforming individuals, teams, organisations and communities.
Gayle and Malcolm’s work on the emotional health levels of leaders and their “translation” of the Enneagram into practical and tangible business applications are recognised across the globe as both innovative and groundbreaking.
Gayle and Malcolm are also committed to continuing their own professional and personal development as leaders and use their insights from this to strengthen and enhance the work they do with others.
Global Leadership Foundation’s products are our services that we design in collaboration with our clients based on our expertise. These include:
Transformational Leadership Development Programs: mentoring senior leaders in the planning, development and sponsorship of leadership programs. Facilitating and implementing these programs within organisations and ensuring these are translated into action through real time application back at work.
Strategic planning and review: facilitating, planning and implementation support in the area of strategic direction, planning and structural review. This includes mentoring and supporting Boards as they review their strategic plans and performance
Organisation renewal and cultural transformation: an innovative and collaborative approach to organisation change that has made a difference at all levels of government, as well as in the private, not-for-profit and professional sectors
Building leadership capacity and collaboration within the team environment: specifically working with “teams at the top” and acknowledging the dilemma of needing to meet organisational expectations at a divisional or partner level, as well as needing to collaborate and work together across the organisation to achieve success
Leadership Development Experiences: contributing to and engaging leaders in a number of ecologically and community-based leadership programs and experiences, which includes volunteering, facilitating, coaching and mentoring roles.
Coaching and mentoring board members and senior executives across Australia and globally
Facilitation including developing tailored facilitation programs such as Achieving Results Through Others, which develops the capability of leaders to become facilitative leaders and harness the wisdom of their team.
Employee Giving
Our primary mechanism for giving is through our pro-bono work, which all employees and Fellows undertake.
Grants
In addition to a significant pro-bono program, Global Leadership Foundation also is able to provide small grants that ‘develop leaders in community’ through our foundation held with the Australian Communities Foundation.
