Australian surfing champion Mick Fanning has jumped on board as the first patron of Enablr – the soon-to-launch online fundraising platform for Not for Profits and charities.
Founder and CEO Enablr Chris Mulcahy has welcomed Fanning, saying “he is a legend both in and out of the water and an all-round great bloke. His passion and dedication in sport are traits he lives by in daily life, making him an inspiration to many”.
Enablr is set to launch in April and is designed to empower both donors, and charity and Not for Profit organisations. It provides them with a new innovative platform that does not charge establishment, management or data access fees. The ultimate mission is to enable the ethical and transparent connection of these parties to ensure donations are delivered to their rightful destination without exorbitant commissions being collected along the way.
The Enablr team recently met with Mick where he stated that he is “honoured to be involved with Enablr and the great work this platform will deliver. This is a fundraising solution able to help over 54,000 charities”.
Enablr has been endorsed by the Assistant Commissioner of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. David Locke voiced his support for the platform by saying “the ACNC is excited to see digital innovation come to the online fundraising space through the launch of Enablr. We hope it will provide charities with a new and exciting way to connect with donors to support t the work of this important sector”.
