An Australian study is set to benchmark the threats and opportunities for associations.
CEO of The Ethics of Success, Omer Soker, said the survey will be Australia’s first national research study into the future of associations.
“The findings will benchmark the biggest challenges facing associations today and provide a roadmap for progress, change and influence into the future,” he said.
“The study will assess external threats such as consolidating markets, digital disruption, sector specialisation, increased competition, reducing membership and association relevance, as well as internal opportunities including culture, engagement, technology, systems, governance and strategy in relation to achieving mission goals.
“This is the most exciting and transformational time in history to run an association.”
Soker said the survey findings, focus group insights, interviews and Australian case studies will feature in a new book entitled The Future of Associations that provides a practical six-step roadmap for the future.
“The Future of Associations will enable associations to maintain relevance in a networked economy, and engage divergent members to deliver a sustainable vision for the future,” he said.
The initial survey comprises of 15 multiple-choice questions and is open to all association executives and board members to have their say. Click here to complete the survey.
