Aus Charity is Global Finalist in IT Comp

Victorian-based national child and family services charity, Berry Street, is one of three international finalists in the running to win a share of more than US$500,000 worth of technology upgrades as part of the Web-scale Wish campaign by global IT company Nutanix.

The Australian organisation will go head-to-head with The Air Ambulance Service (England) and CLASS Ltd (USA) in an online poll to receive a data centre makeover. 

Voting will open from 7:00pm on December 10, AEDT, and will close at 4:00pm, December 11.

Nutanix, said it is bringing the benefits of Web-scale IT to Not for Profit organisations with its Web-scale Wish Campaign .

As part of the campaign, the winner will receive a 48-hour web-scale data centre makeover package. (The prize includes three NX-3050 nodes, three Ultimate Software Licenses, three years of Nutanix Platinum Plus support and a two-day on-site installation service.)

Nutanix used Twitter to announce the finalists with its hashtag #webscalewish.

The company said the worldwide community submitted hundreds of notable nominations, and their five community judges have contributed their time and expertise to follow an unbiased, calculated process to determine the three finalists:

Berry Street has also begun its own social media campaign to garner online votes.
