One Click Crowdfunding

With many charities ramping up their fundraising campaigns over Christmas, an Australian crowdfunding platform has introduced a new way for organisations to tap into the giving spirit.
Chuffed.org claims it has created an Australian-first free service that allows time-poor Not for Profits to create a crowdfunding campaign quickly.
Chuffed.org CEO Prashan Paramanathan said while many larger charities have their Chrsitmas fundraising campaigns planned out months in advance, for many smaller Not for Profits, creating a fundraising campaign could get pushed into the “too time consuming bucket”.
Paramanathan said his organisation’s new web tool, 1-Click Crowdfunding, would allow Not for Profits to create a crowdfunding campaign in under 10 seconds.
He said people only needed to insert their name, email address and their organisation’s website so that smart web algorithms could scan their site and use it to build a campaign.
They can them make customisations and enter bank details.
“We know how busy this time of year is for charities. And understandably, the focus is on the surge of client demand that happens at the end of the year, not on fundraising. That’s why we wanted to make it dead simple to create a campaign and get fundraising,” Paramanathan said.
“We’ve always been focused on trying to make creating a crowdfunding campaign as simple as possible. We started with making it so simple, you could do it on your phone, and now we wanted to make it so quick, you could do it in a lunch break.”
Paramanathan said Not for Profits were able to keep 100 per cent of the money they raised from their crowdfunding campaigns.
‘1-Click Crowdfunding’ is now live and available for all campaigns starting before 25 December at www.chuffed.org/christmas
