Nominations Open for National Fundraising Awards

Fundraising Institute Australia has opened nominations for its 2015 National Fundraising Awards, with a new award for small organisations added to the lineup of honours.
According to FIA, the awards recognise the outstanding initiatives and innovative efforts of professional fundraisers across the country.
FIA Chief Executive Officer Rob Edwards said the 2015 Awards had been reviewed and reinvigorated to give fundraisers and organisations even more reasons to enter.
“There are a number of exciting changes to the awards for 2015. These include complimentary registrations to the 2015 FIA Conference in Brisbane and a ticket to the Gala Awards Dinner for each State Young Fundraiser of the Year, and an international trip for the lucky winner of the National Young Fundraiser of the Year Award,” Edwards said.
FIA has also established a new award for small organisations called Fundraising on a Shoestring, which is for organisations with only very limited funding and resources available.
“I ask fundraisers to look within their team, their organisation and around their fundraising networks for examples of great fundraising campaigns and for exceptional individual fundraisers to nominate for an Award,” Edwards said.
“This is your chance to show off your outstanding fundraising results, or to promote the good work of others. Also, get behind your state or territory’s young rising stars of fundraising and our sector’s generous volunteers and nominate them for a State Award.”
Entries, which are only open to FIA members, close Friday, October 3 . Visit the website for full information on the awards, including judging criteria and nomination forms or contact FIA on 1300 889 670.
