A unique and specialised survey is offering Not for Profit organisations an inexpensive opportunity to gauge what drives their organisation’s employees or volunteers on a year-by-year basis with fast simple and informative reporting.
The role of Not for Profits around the world cannot be underestimated. They provide essential resources to millions in need. In doing so, Not for Profit organisations rely on a team of dedicated employees and volunteers, often working in just- or under-resourced roles and organisations.
What is vital to the success of Not for Profit organisations and the effectiveness of their human resources is an understanding of what is working and what is not within their organisations.
NFP board members, CEOs, and management often ask “what are we doing well that can leverage performance, commitment, and satisfaction within our organisation?”, and “what is hindering us from performing to our best?” Responding to these questions in a truly informed and considered manner is not easy.
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Associate Professor Cameron Newton (Leader of the People and Performance Research Group) and Windsor Recruitment CEO Dylys Bertelsen have worked for the last five years to help Not for Profit organisations answer these and many other pertinent questions via the Nonprofit Employee and Volunteer Performance Survey.
The survey captures and reports vital data for your organisation as well as for the sector overall. It lets you know how your organisation and groups within your organisation are performing, and provides you with sector and sub-sector benchmarks on those indicators that are current and constantly updated.
At the sector level, the survey and reports provide a unique insight into strengths and weaknesses that inform broader policy and productivity.
This unique specialised survey offers organisations an inexpensive opportunity to gauge what drives their organisation’s employees or volunteers on a year-by-year basis with fast simple and informative reporting.
The survey assesses a variety of factors with regard to Not for Profit organisations including:
• climate
• culture
• learning and development
• employee supervision
• rewards and recognition
• employee satisfaction
• turnover and retention
• employee identification with their team and aspects of the organisation
• organisational strengths
• areas for improvement.
Analysis of these factors is broken into different sectors and activities to establish differences between parts of the sector.
It’s more than just a survey
The work of QUT’s People and Performance Research Group and Windsor Recruitment draws on established and validated approaches to ultimately produce rigorous, reliable, and high quality research.
The findings contribute to the effectiveness of nonprofit organisations and sectors not only in Australia but around the world. Our research provides an objective basis that enables informed decisions, development of solutions and implementation of strategies that are most likely to achieve results.
