Post-Grads to Solve NFP's Challenges

Not for Profit organisations have the opportunity to present topical questions or challenges for postgraduate students to solve during an innovation and entrepreneurship workshop.
The Not for Profit Challenge Workshop forms part of the 2013 Deakin Graduate School of Business Workshop for Innovation and Entrepreneurship where postgraduate students from a range of disciplines apply their thinking to the presented questions and issues during a week-long results-focused workshop.
This year’s theme will be Developing Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Not for Profit sector.
Deakin University is inviting charities, foundations and volunteer-based organisations to participate in the event by providing challenges for the participating student teams to work on.
Teams of multi-disciplinary postgraduate students will work together during the week-long workshop, developing creative solutions to real life NFP organisational issues including marketing, social media, membership and fundraising.
The teams are supported over the course of the event by guest speakers, educators and practitioners, and the student team who in the opinion of the judges delivered the best results share a prize pool of $10,000.
The event will provide postgraduate students with the opportunity to apply their thinking to NFP challenges and develop ideas, directions and solutions which will help these vital concerns better manage their dynamic futures.
There is no cost involved for NFPs who are selected but selected organisations could benefit from some deas for the future.
The event will be held at the Burwood Campus, Melbourne between November 4-8.
