Search for New Community Foundation CEO

One of the oldest and largest community foundations in Australia, the Australian Communities Foundation (ACF) is planning a wide-reaching search for a new CEO.
The current CEO, Clare Brooks, is due to return to the UK at the end of September when her 18 month contract with ACF finishes and her work visa expires.
ACF Chair, Dr Annie Duncan, said Clare Brooks had been head-hunted from the UK in late 2011 because of her extensive philanthropic experience nationally and internationally and her wide networks.
“Clare has helped guide the ACF through a period of incredible growth, widening of our reach and increased offerings for donors,” Dr Duncan said.
“In 2011/12 we distributed more grants- both in number and dollars- and received the highest level of donations since ACF was established in 1997.
“We are very keen to build on Clare’s work and, we are glad to say, Clare will have an ongoing connection with ACF when she returns to her family in the UK,” she said.
“Clare will be continuing with an initiative she started this year in helping UK, NZ and Australian ex-pats donate to projects in their homeland via community foundations in all three countries. "
Under the Australian Communities Foundation’s legal structure donors establish philanthropic funds and all donations are pooled and invested. The income generated from this investment is used over time to support charitable projects and organisations.
It is understood that the position of CEO will be advertised in May.
