Technology Not for Profit, Connecting Up, has appointed South Australian, Anne Gawen as its new Chief Executive.
Gawen is currently the State Manager, Community Services with Carers SA and will replace long time Connecting Up chief, Doug Jacquier, who is standing aside after twelve and a half years in the role.
Connecting Up Board Chair, Sue Vardon AO, said she was “delighted that Anne has agreed to take up the CEO’s role, bringing her extensive experience of the sector and her passion for making a difference to Connecting Up’s ongoing capacity building work with not-for-profits in Australia, New Zealand and Asia”.
Jacquier is set to take up a Senior Advisor’s role with TechSoup Global, Connecting Up’s US-based partner.
Connecting Up says that Jacquier’s role will be to advise TechSoup on their global data strategy and global innovation programs.
Of her new appointment, Gawen said: “I am looking forward to making a valuable contribution to the work of Connecting Up in its essential role within the Not for Profit and charitable sector. I am eager to work with the Board and the staff to continue to grow the organisation’s impact and influence even further."
She will take up the reigns on October 8.
