A new education qualification has been launched to prepare executives for the challenges facing the Not for Profit sector.
The Graduate Certificate in Management of Not for Profit Organisations is being delivered by Executive Education provider ACU Corporate as a division of the Australian Catholic University.
Director of ACU Corporate Tom Ristosk says the specialised program reflects the demands of the rapidly evolving Not for Profit sector which faces ever-decreasing philanthropic budgets and an imminent government reform.
The Certificate is comprised of four units and will focus on areas such as Governance, Marketing and Fundraising, Social Capital Markets and Worker Management.
Applications are now open for the inaugural program which commences in mid-July and will be delivered during eight weekend intensives over ten months.
The University Qualification also provides full credit towards further post-graduate study such as an MBA or Master of Commerce
“We found that there is a real need for a recognised and relevant qualification which is specific to the unique challenges facing third sector executives. The Graduate Certificate is delivered by experts with significant experience in the NFP field enabling us to bring a level of customisation that generic management programs simply cannot match,” Ristosk said.
“The program aims to develop dynamic leaders, with the financial and marketing skills to take advantage of the evolving not-for-profit landscape and create organisational resilience.”
