National Survey of Not for Profits and Technology Use
8 September 2011 at 12:39 pm

Not for Profit technology organisation Connecting Up has launched a national survey to look at technology use and other associated issues for Not for Profit organisations.

It’s the third time in six years that Connecting Up has conducted the national survey of technology use – computers, software and telecommunications – and other associated issues for Not for Profit organisations.

Connecting Up says previous surveys in 2006 and 2008 provided valuable insights into what problems and issues Not for Profits and charities were facing, and assisted Connecting Up in lobbying for technology capacity development services for the sector.

Connecting Up says many thing things in the technology realm have changed since the last survey – VoIP and unified communications, mobile devices and management, cloud computing, social media and disaster recovery have all risen in importance and offer new opportunities to the sector.

With the recent Productivity Commission review of the sector, the establishment of the Office for the Not-for-Profit Sector, and the roll out of the National Broadband Network, Connecting Up says there are now real opportunities to influence policy to meet the needs of Not for Profits and charities.

Everyone who takes part in the survey will receive a copy of the final report.
