Banking group, ING Direct is looking to fund Australian towns or organisations that could do with a makeover which benefits the broader community offering a total of $100,000 in grants.
ING DIRECT says it is searching all corners of Australia to find the people and places most in need of a makeover by asking locals what would they do to makeover their town?
Community groups, sports teams and local clubs are being asked to tell their story to claim a share in $100,000 to invest back into their community.
ING DIRECT CEO Don Koch says the the funding gives the bank the opportunity to reward the broader suburban and regional areas where their customers live, work and play.
Koch says Australians take such pride in their suburbs and towns and ING is keen to hear from those who demonstrate a real need and true community spirit.
The funding is open to anyone – schools, charities or even local spaces in need. The winning entry will receive their desired amount between $1,000 and $50,000 to meet their direct need and improve the wider community.
