Leadership In Corporate Citizenship

“Organisational leadership”, “corporate culture building” and “triple bottom Line reporting” are the catchphrases of the new millennium and a group of senior managers and leading academics are getting together each month to focus on these issues as part of the newly formed Australian Corporate Citizenship Alliance.
They’ve been meeting in the boardroom of Ernst and Young as an alliance of individuals intent on creating leadership in corporate citizenship.
At the same time the group is looking to set up a formal structure to support the development of the Alliance and are investigating a national ‘model’.
Organiser Pamela Webb says the national model being proposed focuses on connecting change-makers throughout Australia at all levels and sectors to pursue a common vision.
Webb says that the vision focuses on creating a vibrant and innovative community interest, developing ‘best practice’ leadership in corporate citizenship and discovering and sharing knowledge.
In the twelve months the Alliance has been operating, it has organised several highly successful leadership development initiatives particularly aimed at encouraging young leadership.
