Positive Outcomes, the corporate community investment people are running a series of workshops on employee volunteering later this month in Sydney and Melbourne for both corporates and Not for Profits.
The two-hour workshops will be led by Dr. Ken Allen, a US based consultant who is recognised as a worldwide expert on measurement and reporting on the value and effectiveness of employee volunteering programs from both sides of the fence.
Dr. Allen has worked closely with businesses, government and NGO’s on-site in some 30 countries providing a broad range of consulting and training services.
As a volunteer, he currently serves as the elected World president of the International Association of Volunteer Effort and served for 11 years as a senior executive of the Points of Light Foundation, the national volunteer centre in the US.
The Sydney and Melbourne sessions will focus on ways to measure the value of the programs and how to get a better return on your investment in employee volunteer programs.
Positive Outcomes, Director, Anthony Lupi says the sessions will also highlight the changing landscape of volunteering and will offer practical approaches to addressing the challenges posed by the growth in corporate and employee volunteering.
The Sydney workshops will take place on Monday August 13, 2001 and the Melbourne session on Tuesday August 14, 2001. The morning sessions will be aimed at the corporate sector and the afternoon sessions will focus on the Not for Profit sector.
