International Corporate Conscience Awards

The International Corporate Conscience Awards recognises companies that respect the rights of workers and the community. Does you corporation fit the bill for the 2003 awards?
The CCA honours outstanding social and environmental performance and seeks to encourage the widespread adoption of responsible business practices. The awards are presented by Social Accountability International which is a recognised leader in promoting corporate responsibility.
While most nominations to this New York based organisation come from civil society organisations and socially responsible investors, as third parties recommending a company initiative or program for recognition, self-nominations are also welcomed.
The judges for the CAAs are made up of an independent panel from around the world comprising leaders in socially responsible investing, human rights, environmental affairs and other areas of corporate social responsibility.
This years award categories are:
1. Environmental and Community Positive Impact – superior performance in effective policies and practices demonstrating a positive impact on the community and environment.
2. Innovative Partnership – superior performance in a verifiable and transparent multi-stakeholder initiative that addresses social and/or environmental concerns.
3. SA8000 Responsible Workplace – superior performance in implementing the SA8000 workplace standard.
