Benchmark Survey of Not for Profit Careers
19 July 2004 at 1:07 pm

The Fundraising Institute of Australia has joined with a Melbourne based recruitment agency, Seldon Gill to undertaking what has been described as the most in-depth study of careers in the Australian Not for Profit sector ever undertaken.

The survey is called ‘Careers in the Not for Profit Sector’ Benchmarking Study’ and Pro Bono Australia readers are urged to take part.

The research hopes to gain insights into the different motivations and career expectations of professionals in the third sector.

Director Graham Seldon says it is hoped that this research will provide directors, managers and employees of NFP organisations with a more in-depth understanding not only of their own workforce and its motivations, but also of careers in the sector generally.

FIA CEO, Wayne Clarke says there is very little known about the size and nature of the fundraising sector and the benchmark survey offers a significant opportunity to fill in the gaps.

The online survey will take 5-6 minutes to complete. As an incentive to participate, organisers are giving participants the chance to WIN $250.00 in David Jones Gift Vouchers.

To participate in the Benchmarking Study survey go to www.seldongill.com . Click on the Survey link on the home page.

Pro Bono Australia will publish the results of the survey when the information has been collated.
