Hot Auction Prizes or Only in America
5 July 2005 at 1:07 pm

Our friends from the US group Auctionpay (who kindly brought us the charity auction kit!) are reporting on the very latest hot auction items that are bringing in the big bucks at charity functions around the States.

And well the new ‘trends’ are eye openers!

According the Auctionpay clients it seems the hottest items this year were medical services.

From vasectomies to Botox and Lasik, as well as children’s orthodontic work, guests are interested in purchasing these services at a benefit auction.

One US procurement firm based in Southern California told AuctionPay they were kind of amazed at first, but their ‘All Tied Up’ vasectomy package went for more than full value and was an excellent moneymaker for the charity!!!!

Across the board, Auctionpay clients are saying complete packages seem to make more money in the long run – regardless of the category.

One offered a Desperate Housewives VIP set-visit and lunch with the creator and one cast member proved popular recently, as did a final Sex in the City script, signed by Sarah Jessica Parker and the entire cast and crew.

Another pushed a private sporting clinic for 10 kids with New York Yankees and a sing-a-long in your backyard for you and twenty friends with the cast of a hit stage production!

Hot auction prizes or only in America? And if you are running off to see what your local medical specialist can offer your charity by way of a ‘package’ please let us know at Pro Bono Australia!
