Partnerships Week 2005
9 August 2005 at 1:08 pm
The second annual Partnerships Week takes place nationally this month and its aim is providing information and advice on how your organisation can form a partnership or develop your existing partnership further.
Partnerships Week is a series of 8 Community Business Days, which will be held around Australia in each capital city from 22-26 August 2005.
At each Community Business Day you will be able to:
– listen to presenters from both the community and business sectors talk about issues, trends and their organisation’s experiences of community business partnerships,
– participate in a seminar where representatives from a successful partnership will discuss how they formed and developed their partnership, and
– network with a range of people from business, community organisations, university and government who all have an interest in community business partnerships.
The program will start with a keynote speaker and be followed by case study seminars, an expo and a panel discussion. The presentation of the state and territory winners of the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Community Business Partnerships will then end each day’s program.

The Prime Minister’s Community Business Partnership (the Partnership) is a group of prominent business and community leaders appointed by the Prime Minister to advise the government on issues concerning community business collaboration, philanthropy and corporate social responsibility.
The Partnership operates on the premise that communities are stronger and more cohesive when individuals, not-for-profit organisations, government and business all work together; each offering its own set of unique skills.
The Partnership is supported by a secretariat located within the Australian Government Department of Family and Community Services (FaCS).
