A Scholarship Fund to provide up to $20,000 annually in training and education opportunities for people working in the Not for Profit sector across Australia and New Zealand has been launched.
The scholarship has been funded by software solutions group Advanced Solutions International and is called the ASI ‘SMART Company’ Scholarship Fund .
As part of its “Learn, Share, Direct” philosophy ASI says it is offering financial support of up to $2,000 per grant in full and part funding on a menu of options including fundraising training, CEO development and a Graduate Certificate in Philanthropy and Non Profit Studies.
There are also grants – open funding – to attend conferences and other training opportunities.
ASI Managing Director Paul Ramsbottom says study must be directly relevant to individuals’ work in the NFP sector.
Ramsbottom says the scholarship is a practical way of helping to support NFPs to become smarter and more effective.
In order to be eligible to receive scholarships, applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or have permanent residency status and be full time employees.
For selected scholarships, applicants must be full time employees of organisations that are ASI customers who are current with their annual Software Update Plan.

All successful applicants will be required to submit a 300-word report describing what they learnt from the program.
ASI has 40 staff and more than 440 customers from the NFP, charity and association sectors including: CPA Australia, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, The Cancer Council Victoria, Australian Medical Association, Victorian Employers Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
