NFP "Transparency in Reporting" Awards

PricewaterhouseCoopers has collaborated with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia to launch the PricewaterhouseCoopers Transparency Award designed to recognise the quality and transparency of reporting in the Not for Profit sector.
The PwC Foundation says the winning organisation will benefit from raising its profile as an organisation with a proven commitment to transparent reporting. It will also receive $20,000 towards training and development.
The Foundation says all submissions will be reviewed by a panel of experts and will receive an individual feedback report and an overall summary that will benchmark best practice in the sector.
The PwC Foundation recognises that there is a need for greater attention on transparency because donors want to be able to make well-considered decisions and there is much greater competition for donors.
It says the award provides a unique opportunity to showcase the NFP sector, encourage it to improve quality and transparency in its reporting and reward it for doing so. By providing individual feedback and trend reports, PwC can nurture continuous enhancements in reporting standards.
PwC has instigated similar awards globally and being part of a global network, PwC Australia benefits from being able to share ideas and thought leadership across borders and tailor solutions for the local market.
