Volunteering Australia has engaged consultancy firm GerrardBown to help set the blueprint for its operations for the next five to ten years.
Volunteering Australia CEO Cary Pedicini says the opportunities for VA and the sector in general are significant and the task will be to clearly identify what VA’s role will be in the changing environment of volunteering.
Pedicini says the aim is to turn new directions into a sustainable reality.
The first phase of this process consists of a detailed examination of VA’s current performance, including the identification of Key Success Factors against which VA can measure its current and future performance.
The performance data obtained in Phase I will be used to guide the development of a strategy workshop with VA’s board, with the aim of identifying strategic options.
The proposed third phase of the project will involve an evaluation of the strategic direction options identified during that workshop.
