The Philanthropy View from Down Under - Call for Papers
11 August 2008 at 3:31 pm
The International Journal of Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Marketing is to publish a special issue on philanthropy and fundraising in Australia and New Zealand.
Papers are invited on aspects of these topics that highlight what is unique, innovative and/or challenging in giving and fundraising down under.
The publishers say individual and private foundation giving are the focus of this special issue (not business or corporate foundation sources).
A key theme of the issue is how both Australia and New Zealand have adapted, created and been confronted by international concepts and practices. How have these countries thought globally and acted locally? What insights and contributions to theory and practice does Australasia proffer to other scholars and practitioners working toward continual improvement and greater understanding?
Both academic and practitioner papers are invited and potential topics include, but are not limited to:
– Donor decision-making
– Private foundation behaviour
– Social entrepreneurship
– Single cause area fundraising (eg. Arts, welfare)
– Fundraising vehicles
– Nonprofit branding and positioning
– Impact of public policy
Special Issue Guest Editors are:
