Kidney Health Australia will stage a special seminar in September to help Adelaide charities fight back against the impact of the economic downturn.

Derek Finch, the Head of Customer Operations for Kidney Health Australia says the economic downturn has hit many local charities hard, making it difficult for them to maintain their services to the most vulnerable in the community.

Solution K Solution K, the call centre operation run by Kideny Health Australia, has organized the free seminar for charities with expert speakers to allow for a sharing of information of how charities are coping with the problems and a way forward to maximize opportunities in difficult times.

Finch says in these times charities need to work smarter and faster utilise technology and minimize costs of fundraising itself.

He says the Solution K Call Centre was originally set up by Kidney Health Australia to help fund its own services such as help lines , patient support , children’s camps and research in support of Australians with Kidney Disease and has now expanded into assisting other charities.
