PwC is one of Australia’s leading professional services firms, bringing the power of our global network of firms to help Australian businesses, not-for-profit organisations and governments assess their performance and improve the way they work. Having grown from a one-man Melbourne accountancy practice in 1874 to the worldwide merger of Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand in 1998, PwC Australia now employs more than 6,000 people.
Our vision
To realise and discover the potential of…
PwC people from every part of our business worked together to define what inspires us, what’s important to us, and what reflects our people and culture. We’re inspired by potential – for individuals, teams, clients, communities, everyone – captured in our vision “to realise and discover the potential of…” Realising is about fulfilling existing potential. Discovering is about finding new potential in new stuff, bold ideas, exploration and pushing ourselves beyond where we have been before.
While our vision invites us to consider who we can be, our firm values reflect who we are, and they should be evident in everything we do.
More information about our values can be found on our website

Sponsorships
Supporting the charities and not-for-profit sector
Each year we undertake a significant number of pro-bono and low-bono engagements, enabling access to our services by not-for-profit organisations at significantly reduced cost.
Environment
PwC Australia has a long-held commitment to managing our impact on the environment. We strive to be environmentally responsible, and grow environmental intelligence more broadly.
We are the first firm to; publish Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Accounts, be NCOS (National Carbon Offset Standard) certified, participate in the Corporate Responsibility Index and integrate corporate responsibility into our annual review. In addition, our GHG accounts are third party assured every second year, in line with NCOS requirements.
In 2008 we were the first professional services firm to become carbon neutral and we have continued with this commitment. We achieved carbon neutrality through three key steps:
- reducing our impact;
- purchasing accredited NCOS certified carbon offsets for any residual emissions.
- commitment and engagement of our people
