Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Consultant, Strategic Writer will provide a diverse range of tasks to meet the varied needs of clients. This role will support strategic planning sessions or fundraising workshops, provide excellent communications and liaise with clients, presenting strategies and facilitating feedback. They will design, propose and implement campaigns, produce Theories of Change and play a key role in the development of fundraising plans, publications, promotional material and other collateral as required.

You will provide support to client managers to develop fundraising applications and assist in collating all related documentation and research. This support extends to assisting donor/philanthropy liaising and relationship building through strategic and written communications. You will maintain client records and database administration. You will also collate requirements for proposals and maintain up-to-date information on the progress of all submissions, projects and donors. This role will create reports for clients and ensure all processes are adhered to.

ABOUT YOU:
  • Tertiary qualification in Arts, Business, Law, Marketing or a relevant field is desirable,
  • Excellent writing, communication, research and organisational skills,
  • An understanding of the philanthropic sector as well as trusts and foundations, 
  • Prior involvement in a not-for-profit is highly regarded,
  • Previous experience conducting strategic planning processes, the development of funding proposals and working in communications and/or fundraising,
  • Ability to efficiently manage competing priorities, tasks and deadlines,
  • Strong administration skills and attention to detail,
  • Excellent competence in MS Office and databases,
  • Demonstrated high level of personal initiative and resourcefulness,
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with a flexible, positive and collaborative approach,
  • Able to share the Wendy Brooks & Partners passion and bring energy and practical, strategic writing skills to enhance the worthwhile ventures of their clients.
