Western Sydney Community Legal Centre (WSCLC) operates from a number of locations in Western Sydney including Parramatta, Harris Park, Rooty Hill and Penrith. The Centre was formed to improve the delivery of free legal services to people who have the greatest legal and community needs.

About the role

Are you a passionate advocate for social justice? Do you want to make a real difference in people’s lives?  Do you want to work in an environment making a positive difference to people in NSW? If so, then come work as the Principal Solicitor at the Western Sydney Community Legal Centre (WSCLC).

WSCLC is a leading provider of legal services to people in Western Sydney who are experiencing disadvantage. We are committed to improving people’s wellbeing by providing them with access to justice and empowering them to navigate the complexity of the legal system.  Our Centre is people centric with a real community focus. 

As the Principal Solicitor, you will be responsible for leading a team of lawyers and providing legal advice and representation to clients in a range of areas, including family law, criminal law, employment law, and tenancy law. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing new legal services and programs.

We are looking for:

  • a leader who is passionate about social justice, has a strong commitment to client service, and is a strategic thinker
  • someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team, and who is able to manage complex projects.
