Reporting to the Head of Donor Engagement, the newly-created Fundraising Communications Advisor role will work collaboratively across the Foundation to highlight the wonderful work that the Foundation’s supporters make possible. This key role will build relationships with stakeholders across Eastern Health to obtain storytelling and impact content and write audience appropriate newsletters, event-based marketing, appeal letters, surveys, EDMs, web and social media content and internal staff communications. You have a gift for creating donor-centric copy for print and digital distribution, marketing to specific donor segments and analysing and extracting data to accurately report on each channel’s success.

The Fundraising Communications Advisor will focus on donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, creating and executing donor journeys including coordinating unique experiences and timely impact reporting. You will communicate impact utilising the website, intranet, email marketing, Salesforce tools and and social media platforms. You will also coordinate the department’s internal and external communications including the creation of the department communications calendar and managing the Foundation image and videography libraries.

About YOU

    • 3+ years’ experience in a communications role with strong knowledge of the fundraising and philanthropy sector,
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, along with strong relationship management skills with the ability to form and
      maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
    • Highly skilled written storyteller, with an ability to communicate in a concise manner, with a focus on donor communications and
      developing and implementing digital marketing strategies and content,
    • Experience working with multiple technology platforms and able to work autonomously and learn new systems,
    • High-level organisation and time-management skills with ability to prioritise effectively, work well under pressure and work to
      deadlines,
    • Strong project management skills,
    • Ability to embrace and support change within a complex multifaceted organisation,
    • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing/Communications, Journalism (or related discipline).
