About the role
As we are a small organisation the demand is minimal. Just maintaining books, BAS reporting, presenting a Finance Report at each quarterly meeting along with an Annual Return for ACNC.
Our hope is that the organisation will grow in the near future so demands will increase but will be steady, not sudden.
Committee meetings are quarterly and generally only last an hour or so.
The ideal candidate would be passionate about men’s health.
About the organisation
The mission of Basix 4 Blokes, a registered Men's Health Promotion Charity, is to encourage and empower men to take ownership of their own health. The purpose of the charity is "To build better blokes" and our key strategy is to help men to find own their personally compelling reason to become a healthier version of themselves.
We are a new charity in the program development stage. Our YouTube channel has just been launched and it will have various streams of content including celebrity interviews, information episodes and a men's cooking show. As funding is secured we will be conducting courses on "Finding your Health Why", "Being a Better Mate" etc live, and we will package these up for use by other entities (local councils etc) to deliver in their locations. Our National walking Club (Walk Now) is in it's infancy under the sponsorship of IGA Supermarkets
As our charity registration is as a Health Promotion Charity most of our work is promoting better health for men and our core message is men finding the reason that inspires them to take ownership of their own health.
