With the country set to head to the polls this week, audio producer Lisa Needham spends a day with mother, campaigner and wheelchair user Nicole as she travels around Melbourne, to talk about the NDIS and her hopes for a new government.

NicoleNicole is a mother, campaigner and wheelchair user. After suffering a decade of abuse at the hands of her former husband, Nicole now uses her lived-experience of family violence to speak out for those who don’t yet have a voice.

As election day approaches she spoke to Pro Bono News about her experience of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and what a change in government would mean for her and other people in the disability community.
