Fans of the legendary DJ/producer Moby are being given a chance to buy records from his personal record collection, with all proceeds going to charity.

The Vegan musician and animal rights activist announced last month that he was selling his entire personal record collection to raise funds for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a US not for profit with 12,000 doctor members.

The online store, which launched 14 June, has thousands of records the star has either written and recorded, personally owned or used during DJ sets over his decades-long career

Moby said: “I would rather you have them then me, because if you have them, you’ll play them, you’ll love them.

“And the money will go to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. So everybody wins. Well, except me, because now I don’t have any records.”

The sale is taking place through Reverb.com and features 12″s Moby used in DJ sets in the ’80s and ’90s, as well as rare versions of Moby releases, including promos, test pressings, and signed reissues of Play and 18.

On Tuesday the star revealed he had found “more records in storage” that he has now added to his Reverb LP store.

It comes after Moby auctioned a portion of his synth collection for charity in April, including synthesizers, guitar, and even a sombrero.

Fans can see what’s left of the collection here.
