Nominations are open for the Great Australian Philanthropy Award.
Now in its 15th year Research Australia’s Health and Medical Research (HMR) Awards aim to recognise the outstanding contributions of individuals, teams and organisations in the field of health and medical research.
As one of the nine HMR Awards categories, The Great Australian Philanthropy Award will recognise personal philanthropic donations over a period by an individual or family to Australian health and medical research.
A spokesperson for Research Australia said the award profiled personal philanthropy that was “outstanding in its generosity, effectiveness, vision, high impact and transformative quality”.
Previous recipients of the award have included The Myer Family, Frank Lowy AC, Harold Charles Mitchell AC and McCucker Charitable Foundation last year.
Nominations are open until 17 July and the winners will be announced at an Awards Gala Night on 5 October.
