Grants for Innovation in Human Rights are Now Open
25 May 2017 at 4:16 pm
Applications are now open for Amnesty International Australia’s Human Rights Innovation Fund.
The fund will support new, innovative and creative initiatives that have a demonstrable human rights impact in Australia and deliver one or more of four objectives of the fund.
Successful initiatives must have the potential to advance one or more of the following: grassroots community activism, engaging and empowering a diversity of people to build networks and promote the growth of a human rights constituency, acknowledging the initiatives and endeavours of the human rights movement or developing partnerships with other organisations.
Applications will be accepted from individuals, local action groups, community groups or networks and organisations from any Australian state or territory.
Amnesty International is encouraging applicants to “think outside of the box” but are open to hearing ideas around national speaking tours, broadcasts, photography projects, an interactive web-based human rights campaign, among many others.
Up to $8,000 is available per project but smaller projects are also encouraged to apply. Projects must be completed within one year of the project’s start date.
Applications for the quarterly round close 31 May, for more information click here.
