Hello Sunday Morning is a renowned non-profit organisation that aims to change the global relationship with alcohol and promote a healthier approach to drinking. Founded in Australia in 2009 by Chris Raine, Hello Sunday Morning started as a personal blog documenting Chris's own journey to take a break from alcohol for a year. Since then, it has evolved into a global movement with a strong online community and a variety of programs.

The organisation's primary focus is to challenge the societal norms surrounding alcohol and encourage individuals to reassess their drinking habits. Hello Sunday Morning provides a supportive and non-judgmental platform where people can set personal goals, such as taking a break from drinking or reducing their alcohol consumption and share their experiences with others.

About the role

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) role at Hello Sunday Morning is a newly created position that reports directly to the CEO. The COO will collaborate closely with the Chief Digital Health Strategy Officer, Board, and Senior Leadership team. The primary responsibility of the COO is to provide strategic leadership for the corporate services functions of the organisation, including finance, people and culture, brand and profile, and partnerships and development, and ensure the effective delivery of both strategic and operational elements.

The COO will drive continuous improvement efforts to deliver high-quality services to both internal and external stakeholders. Strong business acumen is essential, along with a track record of working across diverse functions and identifying opportunities for improvement and growth. The COO should be skilled in implementing strategy, possess a hands-on approach, and have the ability to build relationships and lead a diverse team.
