Injalak Arts & Crafts Aboriginal Corporation (Injalak Arts) is located in Gunbalanya, West Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. The Corporation was established in 1989 and is regulated by ORIC (the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations). Injalak Arts has a proud history as one of the longest operating remote art centres in Australia.
Injalak Arts generates income primarily from selling artworks to visitors, online and at exhibitions and markets. There are also income streams from rock art tours and workshops. Grants and philanthropic contributions are important for the sustainability of the Corporation. https://injalak.com

Leading an engaged and diverse team you will guide the operations, promotions and commercial interactions of this modern gallery with deep traditional heritage.
This is an exciting time to step into the leadership of Injalak Arts, throughout the lengthy Northern Land Council extended COVID lockdown period Injalak Arts has thrived by growing online, garnering increased interstate and international market presence. Opportunities now abound to both extend the commercial offering and to further develop cultural and community participation and integration.
As CEO you will;
- Represent Injalak Arts & Crafts Aboriginal Corporation locally, nationally and globally
- Lead business development in accord with the strategic direction of the board
- Provide clear active management of operations and compliance requirements fulfilling all legal obligations
- Exercise strong cultural awareness in all activities and events
- Develop a supportive organisational culture that acknowledges and nurtures the strengths of staff, members, volunteers and community
